How to connect your domain to Shopify
Want to link your domain to your Shopify store? We can do that! Before we begin, you will need to add your domain to Shopify. This article from the Shopify help center will show you how.
Next, you can use our Quick Connect feature to link your Shopify site to your domain.
A pop-up will appear asking if you want to reconfigure your domain's DNS records. Select the "OK" button to continue.
That's it! You have connected your domain to Shopify. It can take up to 48 hours for these changes to process and bring your website fully online. You will also want to make sure you've verified your connection in Shopify. This article from the Shopify help center gives further instructions:
"Click Verify Connection in your Shopify admin to confirm that your custom domain has been connected to your store."
What if Shopify asks me to verify my domain with a TXT record?
Depending on how you have things configured on Shopify, they may require you to add one more DNS record to verify your ownership of the domain. The instructions for finding and adding that record can be found on this guide from Shopify's site.
You'll need to copy the information that they provide you and create a new DNS record on Porkbun. That record should look something like this after you create it:

If you're not sure how to create a new DNS record, you can use this guide as a reference. Once that record is added and propagated, Shopify should detect it and automatically finish connecting and initializing your domain within 24-48 hours.
